PROJECT GREG UPDATE

ANOTHER POSSIBLE 5 GREG NOTE
TEN GREG (LEARNING NEW TECHNIQUES + BETTER DESIGN EFFICIENCY + SECURITY)
FIVE GREG (LEARNED SOME NEW TECHNIQUES + STILL WORKING ON IT)

ONE GREG (OLD TECHNIQUES. WILL BE MODIFIED)

THE plan is to get back on the road, maybe this fall, for a bike trip to promote GREG. I should be able to print a brick of them and raise some awareness of the intent and use of GREG. They will be a legit local alternative currency, in an as yet undetermined geographic market. Hope you check back and stay interested.

On another point, probably more interesting to persons that might be interested in purchasing GREG, is that the security detail is one of my primary concerns in this design phase. I am discovering ways to produce graphics that are difficult to duplicate. A key security measure during early publishing will be a serial number unique to each buyer and stored in a database so that no one can copy your particular note. Upon opening of the market for GREG, the serial will be recorded and matched upon each transaction. This action will not be tenable if GREG takes off in a big way, but between now and that time I am investigating possible ways of easing the transaction burden. Even with a need to record exchanges, a simple receipt as we are all used to would suffice, but in order to prevent fraudulent reproduction, receipts would need to be checked with the database almost daily, or perhaps weekly.
